We are looking for a Product Developer who can build a customer-oriented, commercial product range for Plantagen in the areas of garden furniture, plant accessories and gift & seasonal articles. You will be involved in the development of a new product line and develop the existing range in these areas.
The position is at Group level and is based in Stockholm. You will report to the Business Area Manager, Design.

Job description
To strengthen our future position in the market, we are now looking ahead and need to reinforce our purchasing team with a skilled product developer with experience of purchasing. You will focus above all on applying creativity and innovation to develop new products, and to improve the existing product range, as well as having some purchasing responsibility.
With your experience, you provide cross-functional support for the department and will have a coordinating function in order to develop new products as well as the existing product range. You will work with the Business Area Manager to lead development work internally and with suppliers.
Using your experience and new ideas, we would like to see you involved in building up a function that does not currently exist at Plantagen. The aim is to collaborate to develop the best growth-related product range of the future at the right production cost.
The position involves travel.
Qualifications
We are looking for a creative yet structured person who has the capacity to combine function and form with commercial product development. You have relevant qualifications and a few years’ experience from a role as product developer, ideally from a large retail chain with a strong focus on product and range. We consider experience of working with suppliers in Asia and Europe to be beneficial.
We would like you to have experience of working with product ranges based on the customer’s needs. You are used to working with designers and have experience of processing suppliers’ products in both quality and style in order to suit the company’s identity. You also have experience of working in various materials and you understand production. We consider it positive if you are interested and experienced in sustainability-related issues in this field.
We place great emphasis on your personal qualities, and are looking for someone who is driven, communicative and team-oriented.
You have good skills in spoken and written English, and we consider it an advantage if you are fluent in Swedish. We consider it an advantage if you have experience of InDesign or similar programs.
